Activities range from Gay pride and awareness to hosting events to benefit local charities that benefit those less fortunate than ourselves in the DC metropolitan area.Region

George Mason University's Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, and Ally Resource Center Carnival When: April 2011
This is a great opportunity to meet LGBTQ & Ally students at George Mason University students and let them know about events, volunteer opportunities, and great resources in the Washington, D.C area. DC Sentinels will have a table at this event.
A main purpose of this reception is to provide the students with information about opportunities in the area for social interaction, practicing faith, competing in athletics and volunteerism. For too many young people the only LGBT interaction and outreach they experience is related to parties, clubs and drinking. The DC area has myriad opportunities for queer and allied youth to support the local community and the fight for equality, as well as have fun.
We would like the students to know of as many opportunities as possible and invite you to participate in the reception. There will be tables throughout the event – each org will share a table (larger tables may be available). We invite you to send a representative or two from your organization to talk with the students. We will also provide the students with a directory of participants for their future reference.
