DC Sentinels encourages and supports involvement in the sport of basketball within the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered and non-gay community within the Washington DC metropolitan area.  To meet this objective DC Sentinels strives to promote a commitment to excellence, innovation, integrity and quality in everything we do. In 2008, we hosted a NGBA sponsored tournament in the District of Columbia that brought in hundreds of players from across the United States who competed in the DC Sentinels Capital Classic Basketball Tournament. We have participated in tournaments nationally and internationally. DC Sentinels is a member of Teamdc and the National Gay Basketball Association (NGBA). Founded in the 1980's.
